When I was little I cut, tore, and collected pictures out of magazines of bright bubblegum pink wedding dresses. I dreamt of a wedding full of joy, happiness, and memories that will last a lifetime. I always wanted them memories to be adorned in me wearing a pink, alternative dress. 

 

When I was older, I realised that dresses like these are harder to find than I originally thought. 

 

The widespread wedding industry is focused on expensive dresses that arrive in traditional white styles. Spread from the ‘expansive’ colour palette of ivory to white. To further these conventional values, weddings dresses have a preconceived notion of being a single-use, brand new garment. 

 

That is why I created Aim Bridal, to give a space for alternative brides to find these alternative garments, without overlooking ethical values.
